GARR is the ultra-broadband network dedicated to the Italian research and education community. Its main aim is to provide high-performance connectivity and to develop innovative services for the daily activities of professors, researchers and students as well as for international collaboration.

The GARR network is designed and managed by Consortium GARR, a nonprofit association founded under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, University and Research. The founding members are CNR, ENEA, INFN and CRUI Foundation, representing all Italian universities.

The purpose of the agreement is to collaborate in connecting to the GARR network of the University Colleges of Merit and in teaching and educational activities, as well as in finding new models and strategies for innovative interventions in the digital field and high-tech products within the social fabric, allowing students who are guests of the University Colleges of Merit to take part in internships, training sessions and compete for the scholarships offered by GARR.
